As a graduate of Computer Science, the title seemed appropriate(For the thankfully uninitiated, the first program one writes traditional outputs "Hello World").  This is my first adventure in blogging, and I'm not quite sure where it will take me.  Like most people, I have opinions and feel strongly about certain things but I wonder somewhat at the virtues of adding my voice to the near endless supply of people with a view, especially as most of the important things get covered by other people, and I am far from the most articulate, well read, or otherwise experienced of individuals.  Nevertheless, here is my little effort to affect the world for good.  Here is hoping I am successful in some small way.

What got me to doing this, you wonder?  Well, as I gave up just posting comments at blogs some time ago since I didn't think most of what I wrote was terribly meaningful, insightful, or original, and I got tired of trying to reason with and understand people that didn't much want to return the favor, I wonder myself.  One thing is for sure, I don't plan to take everything happening right now in the world lying down, so this is a small outlet for that.  Who knows, maybe I really will do some good.  One can hope.
